📋 Step-by-Step Project Guide
Removing flush button and ceramic cistern lid
Unscrew the central flush button (on Roca cisterns, counter-rotate the outer chrome collar). Lift off the porcelain lid carefully and place it safely onto a soft towel.
Never pry the ceramic lid upwards without unscrewing the button assembly first, or you will snap the internal discharge valve brackets.
Inspecting and replacing flush seal or complete valve
Twist the central flush cartridge 1/4 turn anti-clockwise to unclip it from its bayonet base. Check the bottom flat silicone washer: if bubbled, warped or coated with limescale, replace it or install a fresh universal dual-flush valve.
