📋 Step-by-Step Project Guide
Opening the blind cassette & removing damaged strap
Unscrew or pry off the cassette front inspection cover. Roll the blind slat curtain manually onto the top axle. Detach the old broken strap from the axle pulley wheel.
Inspect the wall strap guide roller: if the nylon wheel is grooved from wear, replace it to prevent the new strap from fraying.
Securing new strap to the axle pulley
Cut a 1cm slit near the end of the new strap. Hook it over the pulley anchor tab and wind 3 complete turns of strap onto the pulley while the blind curtain is in its lowest position.
Winding 3 reserve turns onto the pulley while the blind is down ensures the strap won't run short when fully raised.
Tensioning the lower recoil spring & feeding strap
Remove the lower recoiler from the wall. Wearing gloves, rotate the steel spring drum clockwise by hand until fully loaded (approx 15 rotations). Hold firmly, feed strap through the guide brake, and hook it onto the retaining catch.
Release the spring wheel slowly so the tension spools the strap neatly inside the recoiler casing.
Slat realignment & fitting bottom stop cones
Check that no PVC or aluminium slats have slipped sideways binding against guide rails. Re-center slats by hand and bolt the two rubber-buffered conical stop bumpers into the bottom slat.
Spray dry PTFE silicone into side guide tracks. It cuts friction by half without attracting airborne dust.

If a room door scrapes the floor, tighten the top hinge frame screws. If holes are stripped in the wood frame, tap glue-coated wooden matches into the holes, trim flush and re-drive 35mm screws.
If the door still rubs after tightening, drop a 1-2mm brass hinge washer onto the top hinge pin to raise the entire door leaf without shaving wood.
